- Nothing fussy or too “traditional”… I didn’t want a matchy-shmatchy, overly decorated nursery.
- Modern(ish)… There are lots of current trends that I hoped to incorporate (either now or in the future).
- No baby blue walls. Not that there’s anything wrong with the color… I just wanted something a little more modern. So, we settled on a very light silver and a pale yellow (the gray and yellow thing is so in right now, isn’t it?!). (Side note: the Behr paint and primer is awesome! Low-VOC and so easy to use, says Ryan, who painted everything.)
- Flexible. I wanted to be able to change or add things as we saw fit.
With those things in mind, we started piecing things together. We have a few jungle animal pieces (a mural that Walker made, and animal stencil paintings that I did), so if there’s a (loose) theme, that’d be it. I’d love to incorporate more animal pieces in the future.
Following are a few pics of his room… It’s a work in progress as I hope to continue to make it “Jett’s”, and allow it to grow with him.
