Happy first day of Summer, y’all!
It’s only fitting that I received my first Birchbox in the mail yesterday… It was a “Happy Summer” gift!
If you aren’t familiar with Birchbox, let me fill you in… You pay $10/month to receive a fun (and pretty!) box of samples. Filling out your profile on the web site allows them to send perfect-for-you samples, too. For instance, one of my samples was for a stretch mark cream (Which is perfect, because I’ve been meaning to look into that…).
The samples aren’t tiny, either… I’m pretty sure the stretch mark cream will last a good couple months, and I also received a full-size box of Cynthia Rowley-designed Band-Aids (Which retail for $11, so I got my money’s worth right there).
My box also included an anti-aging moisturizer, a cheek/lip stain, a couple all-natural hand/face cleansing wipes, and a cologne sample for “a Birchbox man”… All of the samples were a fair size - I’m sure the moisturizer and cheek/lip stain will last a month or so, if not longer. Oh, and I should point out that these are quality products… The stretch mark cream retails for $89, so while it’s not something I’d buy, I’ll definitely enjoy living in (expensive stretch mark cream) luxury for a couple months!
Also, who doesn’t love to get fun mail? I do (Hence the dozens of free samples I’ve gotten that i may or may not need from hip2save.com)!
