After six years in Nashville, we finally made it to the famous Arnold’s for lunch today!

When I first heard the term “meat and three”, I thought it sounded kinda gross. Like cafeteria food. And way too meaty. Little did I know, the term just meant one delicious meat with three incredible sides…

Who doesn’t like some good ol’ Southern food?! Mashed potatoes! Macaroni and cheese! Fried chicken! Cornbread! I could go on and on about the delicious foods you’ll find in one of these places, but I’m sure you get the point.

Today, we both had the country fried steak. Ryan chose mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese for his sides, and I had fried green tomatoes and a small salad. Everything was extremely good, and after a bite of Ryan’s macaroni and cheese, I know I’ll definitely have that next time!

Another thing I noticed was that the people were EXTREMELY nice and helpful!

So yeah… I’d definitely recommend Arnold’s if you’re in the mood for delicious Southern food. But get there early (they’re only open for lunch on weekdays, and OMG the line was CRAZY!)!

Yum!
