We traveled to Tulsa for Alex's wedding last weekend... We had such a nice time, and it was a great wedding!
The rehearsal dinner!
After the rehearsal on Friday night, Ryan's dad and his girlfriend threw
a party at their house... Everyone had a nice time, and no one went
hungry (There was a crazy amount of leftover barbecue. Apparently Rib
Crib doesn't mess around with its catering service!)...
Here's Lori and Alex at the party...
And Ari, Walker and Ryan...
And Jett with Gigi (He's not spoiled or anything)...
And right before bedtime, we squeezed in a picture with Daddy...
We took this one at the beginning of the party...
The main event!
The ceremony and reception were at the same place (The Broadway in Tulsa), which I thought was genius (Tip #1 that I took away from the event - have the ceremony and reception at the same place). It was such a cool space - perfect for a fancy wedding!
Here's a pic of some of the boys pre-game... Doesn't it look like Jett is explaining something serious to his cousin Wyatt (the little guy to his right) and Mike's son? Ha!
Jett wanted to crawl around a bit before the wedding, so whaddaya do? Snap a super cute pic! :)
Here's a picture of the sweet ceremony. Oh, and see those pretty bouquets that the girls are carrying? Well, as of Friday night, they were only an idea, as they were planning to go to a store and just buy whatever flowers were available in their colors (red and white) and make it work. So, as planned, they went to the store on Saturday, picked up a bunch of red and white roses and some ribbon, and voila... Perfectly beautiful bouquets. NINE of them. (Tip #2 that I learned - you CAN make your own bouquets, and it doesn't have to be super stressful)
A pic of the first dance (which was to Ball and Biscuit by White Stripes, which was so awesome, and so Alex)...
Here's a sweet picture of Alex and her dad during their dance...
And another view, which captures the rockin' band (DEACON!)
Of course, we had to take the opportunity to snap a family pic, since we were so fancy...
Jett and I grabbed the bride for a quick pic just before the night ended.
Such a lovely time!
