Catching up...

During our last road trip to Tulsa, I brought some magazines to catch up on... I think I got 20 pages into an US Weekly, but at least I made the effort!

Now that I'm back into reading actual books (I was kind of out of the loop for awhile, with the whole adjusting-to-life-with-a-newborn thing), I seem to spend less time reading magazines, which is a shame, because I have subscriptions to some great ones.

Currently, I subscribe to Martha Stewart Living, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Real Simple, Parents, Us Weekly, Parenting, and Better Homes & Gardens...

Sound expensive? Well, well... I actually didn't pay full price for any of the subscriptions, and most were free!

How, you ask?

I heard about the free subscriptions to Martha Stewart Living, US Weekly and Better Homes & Gardens on hiptosave.com... You usually just have to fill out a survey, and you get a free subscription.

I signed up for the subscriptions to Real Simple and Every Day with Rachael Ray through one of the deal sites (maybe mamasource?), so they were maybe $5 or $10 for a year.

And I signed up for the free subscriptions to Parents and Parenting when I was pregnant... I think I received a free subscription to one of them with the purchase of a Bumbo, and the other was through one of the many new-parent forms you fill out at your OB/GYN's office.

So there... That's how it's done. Magazine subscriptions are one of the easiest freebies, I've found.

This still doesn't solve my problem of not having enough time to actually read the magazines, however...

:)
