Say cheese!

We now have FOUR teeth!

Teething has gone pretty well, it seems. And I didn't even stash a stolen egg in Jett's closet!

Oh, did I not tell you that story?

One of my colleagues told me that the teething process will go well (no major pain/irritation for the little one) if you steal an egg out of a friend's refrigerator, put it in a paper bag, and then place it on a shelf in your baby's closet.

When I first heard about this, I was like "WHAT?!"

My first thought was that this could be very gross... I mean, wouldn't the egg get nasty, sitting in the closet for who knows how long? (She said that hers were still in the paper bags, and that the yolk/egg white had evaporated. WHAT?)

My second thought was that, if caught, I'd look like a crazy person, stealing an egg out of my friend's refrigerator.

But, I was willing to try it, since she assured me that she had done it for both of her girls and that it had worked.

Then I forgot.

His two front bottom teeth came in first, without much ado. The next to come in was one of the front top teeth, and he was a little fussy, so we just gave him a little acetaminophen on the nights when he seemed to be in a little pain. His first ear infection coincided with the arrival of the fourth tooth (another top front tooth), so we weren't exactly sure if the fever/fussiness was just from the ear infection, or if the teething made it worse.

So... With all that said, I'd say it's going quite well. We have quite a few more to go, so we'll see!

Maybe I'll regret not trying the egg trick?

:)
