So, we are continuing to navigate through this strange divide between life-in-Nashville and life-in-Tulsa. It's not that the past week hasn't been "real life"... It's just been some weird hybrid of a vacation and normal, routine life.
I continue to believe that life-in-Tulsa will actually begin after we get a place of our own. Sounds exciting, right? Yes, taking our time to find a cute little house in a preferred area will be great. There are just a couple things - finding a part-time job, and therefore finding a part-time school for Jett - that must coincide with that event that are making me quite anxious.
I know that everything will work out, and that I should take complete advantage of this time - however brief it may be - of being a legitimate stay-at-home momma.
And speaking of my temporary status of SAHM, now that we are into our second week in Tulsa, we are sorta settling into some sort of routine.
Here's what our typical day looks like:
8:30 - Jett wakes up, we have breakfast (and I have my second cup of coffee!)
9:15 - Play time! Today we played with some of his toys, and he did an awesome job of stacking blocks (see pic)!
10:30 - Nap time for Jett / Workout and shower time for me
12:30 - Lunch time!
1:15 - Afternoon activity (trips to the library/Target/park/etc.)
3:00 - Nap time for Jett / Job search time for me
4:00 - More play time!
6:00 - Dinner
8:30 - Bed time for Jett
It's more of a routine than a strict schedule, since his naps last anywhere between 45 minutes and 2 1/2 hours... And some days we run around to the library or do errands in the morning. It just depends on what works for each day.
Oh, and between working out, searching for jobs and picking up after meals (and cleaning up after the cat), it's amazing how little free time I have.
We have a good time, though. And I'm totally jealous of all you SAHMs out there!
