Y'all, I'm so excited about the box of mason jars that recently arrived on my doorstep!
We've been using mason jars as glasses around here for awhile now, but the ones we have in the cabinet are mostly repurposed spaghetti sauce containers. They're great, but they don't have lids, so their functionality is somewhat limited.
Here's what I'm thinking about using these for: Drinking (water, juice, wine... whatever); storing pantry items like snacks, sugar or spices (they're the perfect size for the spices that I bought at the Kansas City farmers market last month); storing leftovers (especially homemade salad dressing and sauces); displaying flowers (it'd be so sweet to divide a bouquet between a few jars)...
That's all I've thought of so far, but I know there are a million and one uses for the things, so I'm sure I'll think of more ways to use them. They're small, though, so I'll be sure to pick up some larger ones next time!
