Out & About: Easter Weekend Happenings!

We all had a pretty big weekend… It’s so nice to be feeling more confident being out and about with a baby in tow! After I got off work early on Friday, we headed out to Centennial Park, which was quite fabulous. It was the first time that Jett wasn’t sleeping during one of our walks, which was fun! It was such a pretty day that we decided to continue the Spring-like activities with a cookout.

On Saturday, we went to Salon Bouge and Home Depot. Apparently, babies love HD - I think I spotted at least 5 others in the hour or so that we were there.

For Easter, we went to church, brunch (Tavern! If you haven’t been for brunch, you MUST go! And definitely get one of their three eggs benedicts, white trash hash AND/OR the pretzel pancakes - OMG!), Shelby Bottoms AND Jeni’s (if you haven’t already, you MUST try the pistachio honey! OMG!)! Such a fun day! Besides a loud diaper explosion and leaving the diaper bag on top of the car at the park (ha!), I’d say we had a pretty successful day of outings!

Like I mentioned, it’s so nice to have more confidence with the outings… It’s so scary at first, but I feel that we are transitioning into the fun out-and-about phase! Bring on the Spring and Summer activities! Woot!

Oh, and yes, I totally let him nap in his seat/stroller a few times throughout the weekend… Which I know can be a no-no, but I figure if he’s not napping there ALL the time (and naps in his crib most of the time), how bad can it be? ;)

Oh, and we watched ‘We Bought A Zoo’… So good! Definitely made me tear up a little.
