Was yesterday Friday the 13th and someone forgot to tell me? Such a strange day!
Amidst all the strangeness, something pretty exciting happened, though… Jett rolled over! When I saw that Ryan was calling me, my first reaction was panic. After all, he usually only calls me during the day if he’s having a problem. This time, however, he had good news!
Before you start feeling sorry that this working mom missed her baby’s major milestone, just know that Ryan and I BOTH missed it! Ha!
Apparently, Ryan had laid Jett on his tummy in his crib (Don’t worry - he was awake… He sleeps on his back.) when he got a call from a friend. After pacing around the room a few minutes (He can’t sit still while on the phone… I’ve decided it’s a guy thing.), he turned around to find Jett on his back! Yep… He did it, and he did it all by himself. What an independent little guy!
The funny thing is that he’s never alone, so it’s pretty crazy that he was able to do something this important while no one was looking…
Now to just get him to do it with and audience… And cameras… And video cameras!
A couple things I may have failed to mention in previous posts… He LOVES his hands. Loves to put them together, loves to try to get both entirely in his mouth, loves to look at them, loves to reach out and touch things… He loves it! He’s also been drooling a TON and is spitting up less. I know the drool precedes teething, so I keep feeling his gums but haven’t felt a tooth yet. Soon, I’m sure!
So, that’s what we’ve been up to… Exciting times for sure!
