So, my Mother’s Day celebration officially began Saturday night when Ali brought me “Thanks Mom!” cupcakes… So sweet!
My Mother’s Day morning was like a progressive brunch party…
First, Ryan ran out to Bongo Java to get an Americano for me while I played with the little guy…
As I smelled delicious scents coming from the kitchen, I opened my oh-so-sweet card and enjoyed my beautiful flowers…
Then I made my way downstairs, and Ryan said “I’m not that great at making omelets…” However, I soon found out that this definitely wasn’t the case (I’ve told him that he will be called upon to make weekend brunch much more often!)…
After our brunch, we decided it was time to let Jett try some rice cereal, which was pretty entertaining (more on that later!). We spent the rest of the day just hanging out at home, which was very relaxing after the hectic last couple weeks.
For dinner, we went down the street to The Pharmacy, which is so very good every time we have it! We have gotten burgers from there to-go quite often, but this was our first time to actually eat at the restaurant. It was crazy busy (which was to be expected, of course)… I can’t wait to go back on a nice day and sit outside.
So, yeah… I had a pretty great Mother’s Day. I feel so very blessed to be the mommy of Jett - everyday is such a new, wonderful adventure. :)
