This crazy weather sure has kept us on our toes! And while I'm more than ready for some fall weather, 50-degree days after a week of 80-degree days are just a little hard to get used to!
Nevertheless, we had a perfect fall weekend with all the seasonal essentials (outside activities, food and football)!
Our big outside activity was a birthday party at a farm on Saturday. It was Crosby's 3rd birthday, but the ages of the kids in attendance ranged from 9 weeks to 7 years, so you can imagine how much fun Jett had, just watching them run around (and chase chickens, LOL). There were sheep and chickens, and when the kids weren't running around (chasing chickens), they were painting mini pumpkins, planting flowers in mini pots, going on hayrides or warming up near the bonfire. The cake was from Everything Bundt Cake, which I've heard so much about... It definitely lived up to expectations!
Our food was veggie soup and turkey chili. I made the soup on Saturday (by basically throwing some of my CSA veggies in Trader Joe's chicken broth... More on that later!), and turkey chili on Sunday.
Our football games were the Razorbacks and Titans, both which were a little disappointing. Oh well... There's always next week!
So yeah... A very fall-y weekend! Love it!
