Downton!

Of course I had heard of Downton Abbey... (Who hasn't?!) But I hadn't actually watched an episode until Saturday evening, when I watched episode one of season one. Then episode two of season one. Then episode three. On Sunday I watched a few more episodes, and then finished the first season yesterday.

I've been late to the party with some of my other all-time favorite shows - Dexter, Lost and Sex and The City, to name a few. Being late to the Downton party is kind of awesome, as I now have TWO MORE WHOLE SEASONS to watch before the all new season starts this fall! OMG!

So yes, I'm a fan. Which is somewhat surprising, as I've never really watched any historical fiction shows like Downton. There's a first time for everything, I suppose!

As I was watching on Sunday, I started wondering just what makes this show so great. Not only is the writing terrific, the characters are wonderful, and the acting is excellent. Also, there are always at least a couple suspenseful story lines to keep viewers intrigued. LOVE!

Anyway, just wanted to share my latest obsession!

Edit: I was just informed that the new season doesn't start until January... NOOO! :)
