Werk it!

       
Okay, so Ryan might kill me for posting this picture, LOL!

And while it's a great picture, alas, this post isn't about Ryan's guns. Sorry!

This post is about a couple tips I've learned while at the gym lately. And while I'm loving my gym, the tips aren't necessarily about working out. They've been on my mind, though, so I thought I'd share...

The first tip is regarding posture... One of the instructors mentioned in class that she loved the following tip she had learned: When you're standing around, unsure of what to do with your arms/hands, hold them behind your back instead of crossing your arms or clasping your hands in front. This keeps you from slouching and helps your shoulders to stay back. Genius! I've already used this tip many times!

The second tip is regarding encouragement/motivation... At the end of a weekly class I refer to as "the hardest class ever", the instructor was giving us some motivation/tips to remember throughout our day/week. One thing she told us was, "Keep encouraging yourself. And do you know what the best way to do that is? Encourage others." A nice little reminder, I thought!
